He is currently attending Champlain College in Burlington Vermont, aiming to graduate with a Creative Media BFA with focuses in Visual Arts and Interaction Design, and a minor in Global Studies in 2027.
Star's most recent works consist of zines, rudimentary puppets, illustrations, and an in-development children's book series.
He hopes to work more in the realm of theater arts, with a dream of one day working in children's television to help foster a better media environment for our youth.
Star finds immense importance in the free, cheap, or very accessible sharing of educational and informational resources,
and hopes to help create informational guides on things such as puppetry and similar artistic careers, so that
newer artists are able to have a sense of all of the careers the arts have to offer, and the steps needed to take to get to them.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Hello, I'm Star! I've been in love with art for as long as I can remember, in all of its many shapes and forms.
I've been drawing since I was still just a toddler, and spent just as long telling everyone around me that I would become an illustrator when I grew up.
Nowadays, I'm hoping to get myself a career in puppetry, theater, and children's entertainment. Along with that, I still love to draw, and have been working on a children's book series under the working title of Library Loves You! The series is an initiative to help educate children on the social infrastructures within their communities,
so that we can try to build a stronger sense of physical community in our growing digital age.
Outside of that, I'm very passionate about all things weird and nostalgic! As I'm sure this website can show you, I'm a big fan of the
Old Web, and its aesthetic motifs show up often in my works.
I'm a collector at heart, with an ever-growing collection of vintage children's toys (Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake especially)
and clown/circus memorabilia. I also have a steady collection of marionette puppets, which are what has kickstarted my love of puppetry and desire to turn it into a full career.
